Another worst action film! Full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Not recommended!

This film start with a man having his package to deliver, and he promise the job to be done scene! As turnout, this film is about two men(John, and Michael) get killed because of the same painting they pursue! Entire film full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Such as, overuse of the walking scene, overuse of the staring scene, overuse of the blackout scene, overuse of the drinking scene, overuse of the arguing scene, overuse of the calling names scene, overuse of the driving scene, overuse of the talking on the phone scene, overuse of the kissing scene, overuse of the sleeping scene, and overuse of the flashbacks scene! Make the film unwatchable! At the end, Sarah receive the original painting after the death of John! Still have post credit scene! Sarah been followed! That's it! Wasting time to watch!

Was better than expected

It's by no means a perfect flick. But far better than the trollers low rating it will have you think. It's got action, a strange direction and characters. Music is fairly decent too. No major complaints and worth watching once or twice. I'm not into the arty type stuff like the freaks in the street. Thankfully that weird nonsense was quickly dispatched with some shooting.

Poor man's "The Thomas Crown Affair"

I wonder how none of the commentators mentioned that the movie obviously seems to be inspired by "The Thomas Crown Affair". Much less smooth, classy, captivating, but, on the other hand, with extra action scenes.

I think, overall, Alessio Della Valle did a good job trying to make a stylish, art-filled film within the constraints of the apparently limited budget. The story is okay, the non-linear storytelling is rather interesting, camera work is surprisingly good, the acting is okay - except for (and I am so sorry to say that because generally he delivers great performances) Jonathan Rhys Meyers who is just not convincing to me as the refined John Kaplan who is supposed to "make art sexy".

For some reason the movie felt unnatural leaving somewhat "plastic" taste in your mouth. None of the characters are likable, I couldn't sympathize with any of them. Michael Rubino (Hirsch) could have been a great multi-dimensional character, but wasn't developed enough. Vincent (Piven) is ridiculous in a non-funny way and pathetic. Sarah (Vega) is cold and unconvincing. The ending also seemed to be rather artificial.

So I say, it's fine to watch once if you like art-related and action-packed movies. But to re-watch "The Thomas Crown Affair" instead wouldn't be a bad choice either.
